Freestanding Lace Fleur de Lis 1 Ornaments (with Loop)
Embroidery Designs

Set of 2 freestanding lace (FSL) embroidery designs
which can be hung from the loop at the top
when embroidery is completed and the
dissolvable stabilizer is washed out.
Please see instructions and photos for stitching FSL
designs here.

3 layers of Solvy were used for testing these designs.
They are similar to the previous FSL sold at the link
above and have a more "airy" feeling.
Experimenting with similar or different colored threads
in your bobbin will create differing results.
Placing mylar on the solvy before stitching this design
will result in a beautiful ornament or gift tag without
using metallic threads.
(This design has not been tested using metallic threads.)

The above photo comparison is given to show the density of the designs and sizing
of
the FSL fleur de lis ornament/tag sold above which has a loop at the top (middle 2 FSL fleur de lis)
and
the FSL fleur de lis shown that has no loop at the top and has a fill that is more dense (outer 2 FSL
fleur de lis) which is
sold on another page.

Also, in the upper right corner of the photo is the smaller fleur de lis sold above embroidered with
mylar.  (That design with mylar is shown more clearly as tested just previous to the above photo.)
I tried using mylar with this FSL fleur de lis and liked the
results!  You may want to hoop the mylar on top of and with
the water soluble stabilizer (WSS).
In bottom left photo it is not hooped.
These photos (to the left and below) are the
smaller 2-1/2 inch design sold above.
(Remember when rinsing out the WSS that it will be
on the back side of the mylar.)
Here are more instructions on working with mylar.
The photo below and to the right is the same design.
It is the larger FSL Fleur de lis with loop sold above using
black top thread and white thread in the bobbin.
This created a sort of "grey" design, but it is recommended
that you use the same color thread in the top thread as the
bobbin.  However you may like this effect, especially if the
two colors are just a shade or two apart.
If you would like to purchase all 4 FSL fleur de lis (two with the loop at
the top and two without the loop) which have two different densities and
are shown in the bottom row of the photo above, please
email me for a
special price.  Thanks,  Gail
